Special menu for grand opening of Harrington's

Harrington's Family Restaurant in Village Pointe is celebrating an expanded menu along with its grand opening.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday. The restaurant will have all-day happy hour for drinks Monday-Thursday, and menu items will be 20 percent off.

Wine and appetizers in the dark at Nosh event

Nosh Wine Lounge and the Radio Talking Book service are joining forces to raise awareness about Nebraska's blind with the event "Wining in the Dark," a wine tasting and fundraiser for the service scheduled for March 20. (Last week's Go had an incorrect date.)

The charitable event will include a blindfolded wine tasting led by Amberlyn Edson from Republic National Distributing and a sampling of appetizers from Nosh. Storyteller Rita Paskowitz also will perform.

The event begins at 4 p.m. at the restaurant, 1006 Dodge St. Tickets are $60 a person and are available by calling the Radio Talking Book Service at 402-5723003.

Special pastas, pizzas at Zio's during Lent

Zio's Pizzeria has a number of specials available during Lent.

Seasonal pizza flavors include the quattro cheese combo, shrimp pesto combo, margherite pizza, veggie supremo and a baha shrimp. Diners can choose a regular or gluten free-crust. Pasta dishes come with the choice of spaghetti, penne or fettuccine and sauce options include a veggie delight, shrimp pesto, marinara, alfredo and a spicy shrimp alfredo.

Dante adds meatless options, Friday trios

Dante Ristorante Pizzeria also is adding a rotating menu of meatless options during Lent.

Each Friday will offer a new trio: a pizza, a pasta and a protein.

New items for spring at LongHorn Steakhouse

LongHorn Steakhouse is introducing a number of new menu items for spring.

Dishes include a crispy blue crab bites appetizer served with a citrus remoulade, a whole roasted carrot side dish, roasted tomato basil soup, a beefsteak tomato and bacon salad with housemade buttermilk ranch, grilled lamb chops served with horseradish mashed potatoes and wilted spinach and a mixed berry lava cake.

$5 rolls at Blue Sushi on Crunchy Thursday

Every Thursday at Blue Sushi Sake Grill is now Crunchy Thursday.

The restaurant's four crunchy rolls — Crunchy Blue, Crunchy Red, Crunchy L.A. and Crunchy Cabbage –— will be $5 each. The bar also serves $2 bottles of Sapporo beer. The special, for dine-in customers only, is all day Thursdays beginning at 11 a.m.
