Information meetings on health law scheduled

Officials from the Nebraska Department of Insurance will host four information meetings on the Affordable Care Act next week, part of a series of sessions designed to inform consumers and businesses about the federal law.

Topics include insurance mandates, rates for health insurance, tax credits, open enrollment, small-business options and employer-sponsored insurance.

The sessions, free and open to the public:

O'Neill: Oct. 27, 6 to 8 p.m., O'Neill Library, 601 East Douglas St.

Norfolk: Oct. 28, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Lifelong Learning Center, 801 East Benjamin Ave.

Fremont: Oct. 28, 6 to 8 p.m. Metro Community College, Classroom 304, 835 N. Broad St.

Omaha: Oct. 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Public Health Auditorium, 519 S. 40th Plaza Circle.
