Age 84 of Omaha. A U.S. Army Veteran serving active duty in the Korean War in the 5th Armored Division. He played semi-pro baseball as a young man and eventually coached many youth teams, passing on his love of the game to his son's generation. He loved ishing trips to Canada with family and friends. He retired from Kraft Foods Inc. with 28 years of distinguished service, winning several company awards. He then became a very active volunteer of the Millard American Legion Post #374. There he helped to raise money for various charities with the Meat Rollers group and was a long time member of the Legion's Color Guard, performing in parades and ceremonies. Later in life he had two new passions; goling and his grandchildren.

He was preceded by his brothers, Charles Johns, Harold Sembach, George Sembach, Walter Sembach, Hamilton Johns and sister Beverly Johns.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Selma Johns (nee Taylor); son Dennis Johns and Natasha Minova, grandchild Daniel Minov (Regina SK); daughter Sandra and Kevin Braun, grandchildren, Chris and Jess Braun and Kayla Braun (Regina, SK); daughter Denise and Mike Peterson, grandchildren Ryan and Kylee Peterson, great-grandchildren, Riley and Easton, granddaughter Shelby Peterson and Chris LaChappelle (Omaha, NE).

CELEBRATION OF LIFE 1 pm Monday, February 15 at American Legion Millard Post #374, 13913 S Street, Omaha, NE 68137. Memorials may be made is Warren's name to Josie Harper Hospice House, 7415 Cedar St, Omaha, NE 68124 or to the Visiting Nurses Association, 12565 W Center Rd, Omaha, NE 68144.
