13 Hours A Michael Bay-directed account of the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. Patriotic, serious and exciting, but also way too long. B-

Anomalisa Filmmaker Charlie Kaufman explores a man's midlife crisis using puppets and stopmotion animation. Bleak, beautiful and sometimes brilliant. B+

The Big Short This smart comedy about the financial crisis stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt. B+

Dirty Grandpa Zac Efron takes his dirty grandpa (Robert De Niro) to Florida for spring break, and, oh boy, are there shenanigans — vile, gross and hateful shenanigans. F

Exposed Keanu Reeves plays a detective who investigates the case of his partner's death in this mystery.

Fifty Shades of Black A spoof of "Fifty Shades of Grey" written by and starring Marlon Wayans.

The Hateful Eight Tarantino's long and epic Western traps a great cast in a blizzard and waits for the first one to shoot. A-

Jane Got a Gun A long-delayed Western starring Natalie Portman in the role of the hero. Co-stars Ewan McGregor and Joel Edgerton.

Misconduct Josh Duhamel plays a young lawyer who takes on a big case against a pharmaceutical company, which has consequences. Co-stars Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Malin Akerman and Julia Stiles. Really.

Regression Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson star in this thriller revolving around a satanic cult.

The Revenant This 1820s-set Western epic from the director of "Birdman" stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a frontiersman who just won't die. Not until he gets his revenge anyway. B+

Sisters The two funniest people alive, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, play sisters who throw one last house party before their parents sell their childhood home.

Spotlight A dramatization of the Boston Globe's 2001 investigation that uncovered sex abuse and a conspiracy in the Catholic Church. A-
