Age 87 of Dwight, NE. Born near Dwight, son of James A. and Lillian (Pelan) Pavel. Lifelong farmer in Dwight area. Served in U.S. Army. Member of Dwight Assumption Catholic Church, FCSLA (Catholic Workman), Dwight American Legion Post #110. United in marriage to Leona A. (Brousek) Pavel on October 23, 1957. Survived by son, Jim Pavel, Omaha; sister, Dorothy Kotera, Seward; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Marcie Brousek, Omaha, Francis and Joan Pavel, Waverly, NE, Jerry and Phyllis Swanda, Brainard, NE; nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers, Bud and Donna Sisel, Ed and Shelly Trojan, Travis Trojan. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona Pavel; sister, Martha (Leonard) Niemann; parents-in-law, Joseph and Ann Brousek; and brothers-in-law, Ernie Kotera, Victor Brousek.

VISITATION 9 am-4 pm Tuesday, July 21, Zabka Funeral Home, Seward. ROSARY 7 pm Tuesday, Dwight Assumption Catholic Church. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL 10 am, Wednesday, July 22, Dwight Assumption Catholic Church, with Celebrant Father Raymond Jansen. GRAVESIDE SERVICE and Interment, Dwight Assumption Catholic Cemetery, with Full Military Honors by Dwight American Legion Post #110. Memorials to: Pavel Family for future designation.
