British playwright Caryl Churchill's play debuted in 1981, with a revival last year by the Atlantic Theater Company. UNO faculty member Ryan Hartigan is director. Cast members are Brandon Williams, Maggie Fisher, Leslie Little, Dennis Stessman, Ryann Woods, Ankita Ashrit and Andy Prescott.

This play by John B. Keane is the centerpiece of the theater's annual Irish Festival. It's the story of an illegitimate 18-year-old named Sive who lives with a great-aunt and an uncle and his wife. A matchmaker wants Sive to marry a rich but haggard old man and offers money to her uncle's wife if she can make that happen. Suspense and tragedy surround the story. Cathy Kurz directs a cast that includes Kelsi Weston, Delaney Driscoll, MaryBeth Adams, Eric Griffith, Wes Clowers, Scott Working, Jackson Cottrell and Gordon Spencer. Check the theater website for additional festival events.

"Tom Jones," Creighton University Lied Education Center for the Arts, 2500 California Plaza, Wednesday through Sunday. Showtimes: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: Information: 402-280-1448.

Though it's based on a 1749 novel by Henry Fielding, "Tom Jones" is as bawdy and raucous as any modern play. The all-student cast includes Eddie McGonigal, Rachel Schmidt, Hailee Domagalski and Benjamin Gliedt.
