All 10 of Nebraska’s wrestlers are pre-seeded in the top seven for the Big Ten championships, which begin Saturday in Iowa City.
NU’s highest pre-seed is senior Jake Sueflohn, who is third at 149 pounds. Also in the top five are Tim Lambert (fourth at 125), TJ Dudley (fourth at 184), Eric Montoya (fifth at 133) and Aaron Studebaker (fifth at 197).
Nebraska and Penn State are the only teams with all 10 wrestlers pre-seeded. Penn State, the top-ranked team in the country, has four No. 1 seeds.
Iowa has nine wrestlers pre-seeded, including Omaha Skutt graduate Thomas Gilman, who is second at 125.
Iowa has three other wrestlers pre-seeded second and three more third. The other Hawkeyes seeded second are Cory Clark (133), Brandon Sorensen (149) and Alex Meyer (174).
