Deadly Intentions Haunted Forest, Highway 59 at 290th Street, 8 miles south of Shenandoah, Iowa. One of the oldest haunts in the area. Open every night through Oct. 31. Hours: Sunday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to midnight. Admission: $8 adults, $6 children age 14 and under, proceeds go to charity.

Gateway of Chaos, 1605 Main St., Malvern, Iowa. Haunted house. Open Friday (except Oct. 10) and Saturday 8 to 11 p.m. from Oct. 4 to 25. The haunted house will open at 7 p.m. for no-scare time on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25. General admission is $10, or $8 with two cans of food; fast pass tickets are $15. Information:

Omaha cemetery tours, Oct. 30 and 31, 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Omahan Howard Hamilton will give Halloween-themed tours of Omaha graves. A bus will transport tour guests, but much of the tour involves outdoor walking. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight.
