Chet Fortune and Patrick Taylor have one goal: to provide coats to as many children in need as possible.

The second annual Warrior Fitness Center coat drive is aiming to provide thousands of coats to local kids.

"Our event last year was more than successful, but this year we wanted to set our sights and goals through the roof," said Fortune, who co-owns Warrior Fitness Center in La Vista with Taylor.

On Saturday at 8 a.m., Fortune and Taylor are holding a boot camp-style workout as a fundraiser at Warrior Fitness Center, 13239 Portal Drive in La Vista. A minimum donation of $20 is encouraged. Breakfast and a meet-and-greet with professional local athletes is included. Participants can get autographs and pictures with former NFL players Kenny Onatolu, David Tollefson and Sage Rosenfels. Two-time WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford has also supported the coat drive financially. He originally planned to be at the meet-and-greet but can no longer attend.

All of the money raised will go to purchase coats for more than 85 children at Boys Town and students at Howard Kennedy Elementary and Miller Park Elementary in north Omaha.

"We want to do something special for the city of Omaha with this cause while providing a great workout and meet-and-greet opportunity," Fortune said. "The following week we will personally buy and deliver all coats to the schools and Boys Town."

If you cannot attend the charity workout Saturday, you can still help by donating here.
