Bon Jovi to play Lincoln's Pinnacle Bank Arena

Another artist will make a stop at Lincoln's new arena months after playing in Omaha.

Bon Jovi, who performed at the CenturyLink Center earlier this year, will play the Pinnacle Bank Arena on Oct. 20. Country star Jason Aldean will also play the Lincoln arena months after performing in Omaha.

Bon Jovi's "Because We Can" tour follows the release of the group's album "What About Now." The stop in Lincoln will be the band's first there since 1985.

In Omaha, the band played "Livin' on a Prayer," "You Give Love a Bad Name" and its other hits for 2½ hours to almost 15,000 fans.

The group also played without its lead guitarist, Richie Sambora, who dropped out of the tour citing "personal issues." Just this week, unnamed sources told gossip website RadarOnline that Sambora was booted from the group for substance abuse problems, but other anonymous sources came forward later to refute that story.

Guitarist Phil X, who has filled in for Sambora in the past, will continue backing frontman Jon Bon Jovi during this tour.

Tickets to the Lincoln show, $29.50 and up, will be available at, the arena box office, Ticketmaster retail locations or by phone at 800-745-3000. An on-sale date has not yet been announced.
