Celebrity hairstyles are making the cut

Celebrity hairstyles are making the cut

It takes me years to grow my hair long.

Seriously, years, which is why it’s been almost seven (my first pregnancy) since I had long hair the last time.

I have to say I’m somewhat enjoying my long locks on those days (almost never) when I actually have to get ready to go somewhere.

Every other day it’s in a ponytail.

The most irritating thing about finally getting it grown out? Getting it cut seems to be the “in” thing right now.

It’s not that I’m a slave to hair trends, by any means. However, I am a slave to fashion magazines and Pinterest, where there are no shortage of drool-worthy “dos.”

Seeing pictures of beautiful celebrities with adorable new – and shorter – haircuts is usually all the temptation I need to make an appointment with my stylist.

Here is a lineup of my faves:

What’s not to love about the “Bob?” Nothing, says me, as I’ve had a version of this hairstyle since I was about 8 years old.

These ladies were daring. I cut my hair off this short once when it started out past my shoulders. In fact, I have something similar in my Momaha mug shot. I loved it, but the thing about hair this short is you have to get it cut every 48 hours to keep the style looking fresh.

And last, but not least, the Pixi Cut. I adore this haircut. I love that you can get out of the shower, finger dry it, put a little product in it and go. It shows off your cheekbones, eyes and more importantly your neck. Let’s be honest though, both of these women could be bald and beautiful.

Alas, I think my long hair is here to stay for awhile. It was an easy grow out this time around because of all the fabulous pregnancy hormones that make your hair so lovely. But I plan NEVER to be pregnant again, so I may as well enjoy it while it lasts.
