UNDERWOOD, Iowa – Arson is suspected in an overnight fire that damaged an Underwood business.

Fire crews responded to a fire at Paco's Tire, 26276 Magnolia Road, around midnight Sunday, and were able to put out the blaze.

Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker said investigators believe someone set fire to tires located behind the business' steel building.

“We're pretty sure it's arson,” Danker said.

Paco's Tire was closed and empty at the time of the fire. No one was injured. The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage to the building and $3,000 in damage to an air compressor on site.

The sheriff's office and the Iowa State Fire Marshal's Office continue to investigate the incident.
