Three men, including an Omahan, were sentenced last week in federal court in Council Bluffs.

Jesse Craig Wilkinson, 33, of Omaha received seven years for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He was ordered to serve two years of supervised release following imprisonment.

Authorities said Wilkinson had a loaded .40-caliber handgun while in Pottawattamie County. Wilkinson was prohibited from possessing a firearm after he was convicted in 2003 in Nebraska on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Wilkinson pleaded guilty April 2 to the current charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

David Leon Breneman, 49, of Council Bluffs, was sentenced to 2½ years in prison for possession of child pornography and 10 years of supervised release following imprisonment.

Authorities said that from May to December of 2012, Breneman obtained Internet images of prepubescent children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Breneman pleaded guilty April 2 to the charge of possession of child pornography.

Also, Jimmy Joe Misner, 54, of Atlantic, Iowa, was sentenced to five years in prison for receiving child pornography. He also was ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release after imprisonment.

Authorities said that from September to December 2013, Misner obtained more than 1,700 images and 97 videos off the Internet of prepubescent and adolescent children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Misner pleaded guilty May 1 to the charge of receiving child pornography.
