A 48-year-old man who police accuse of stabbing two people in southeast Omaha last week has been arrested.
Vincent I. Adkins was booked Friday on suspicion of two counts of first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony and one count each of possessing an open container of liquor in a public place and destruction of property.
Police say Adkins stabbed Robert Romero, 49, and Katherine Aguilar, 48, near 14th and Center Streets on Thursday.
The two were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Their updated conditions were not available Saturday night from the Nebraska Medical Center.
