A man shot outside a northeast Omaha middle school Wednesday night has died, police said.
The man, Brandon White, 21, was was shot in the chest about 8:15 p.m. in a parking lot outside McMillan Magnet Middle School near 39th Street and Redick Avenue, police said. He was taken in critical condition to Creighton University Medical Center and died at the hospital.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and shooting call near the school at 8:15 p.m.
Police said White had run across Redick Avenue and up the street a couple of houses. Police and firefighters found him there.
