An Omaha man is accused of holding his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint and robbing her, police said Friday.

Officers were called to an apartment near 48th Street and Ames Avenue on a report of a disturbance.

When they arrived, a woman told them her ex-boyfriend, Jamhal Brown, was hiding in another area of the apartment.

The former couple were still living there together, police said.

When officers tried to arrest Brown, he bit one of them, police said. Another officer deployed a Taser, but it didn't work.

Eventually, Brown, 26, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, felony domestic violence assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, felony false imprisonment, felony assault on an officer and resisting arrest.
