Former Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., is scheduled to join a University of Nebraska at Omaha professor in lecturing about partisanship and U.S. foreign policy.

The university says Nelson and professor Jonathan Benjamin-Alvarado on Thursday will deliver a lecture titled “The Impact of Hyper-partisanship on American Foreign Policy.” A question-and-answer session will follow. The lecture is not open to the public.

Beginning this semester, Nelson is the UNO Political Science Department’s politician-in-residence. As part of his responsibilities he’ll be team-teaching an upper-level course.
