FREMONT, Neb. — A 31-year-old Fremont man has been given three to five years in prison for assaulting two officers.

Eric Ramirez was sentenced Monday. Ramirez was convicted of two felony counts of assaulting a police officer.

Police said Ramirez was arrested after punching two officers who responded to a disturbance on Sept. 15.

Dodge County Attorney Oliver Glass described the incident as a “vicious, alcohol-fueled attack on two peace officers.” — AP
