Here's your chance to help revise Omaha's city charter

Members of the public can share their ideas for revisions to the City of Omaha's charter at a series of meetings that will continue through early December.

A 25-member committee will consider updates to the document that's used as the city's constitution. It's a process that happens once every 10 years.

People can send comments by email to 2013CharterConvention@ci.omaha.ne.us.

All meetings will take place in Room 702 of the Omaha/Douglas County Civic Center at 1819 Farnam St.

The meeting schedule:

» 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Oct. 15

» 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Oct 17

» 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 12, Nov. 18, Nov. 25, Dec. 2
