A 21-year-old man suffered a critical injury Tuesday morning in a stabbing in southwest Omaha.

Omaha police said Andrew Nemeth suffered a six-inch cut to his stomach that left his intestines exposed.

He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center in critical but stable condition after the 6 a.m. stabbing. Police said his injuries were considered nonlife-threatening.

Police said an investigation indicated that the stabbing occurred at the Carlisle Hotel near South 108th and L Streets.
