Ben Stein, a speechwriter for Presidents Nixon and Ford who is perhaps better known for his former TV show on Comedy Central, “Win Ben Stein’s Money,” will speak in Omaha on March 10.

He will be the keynote speaker at a fundraising banquet for the Assure Women’s Center. Stein’s talk, “Life: The Bottom Line,” will address societal and economic impacts of abortion.

The 6:30 p.m. dinner at Embassy Suites in La Vista will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the center, which provides free pregnancy testing and obstetric ultrasounds along with counseling.

Honorary dinner chairwoman and chairman are Mary and Hal Daub. Tickets may be purchased at Individual tickets are $40; a table of 10 is $350.

Tickets for a VIP reception from 5 to 6 p.m. are available for an additional $25.
