A man fleeing from the scene of a crash was struck by a car as he crossed two lanes of traffic near U.S. Highway 75 and F Street on Friday night, according to the Omaha Police Department.

Anastacio Calderon-Colesio, 29, of Omaha jumped over the median and was running about 10 p.m. when he was struck by a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Andrew Montes, 21, of Omaha, police said.

Police said Calderon-Colesio had been involved in an unrelated crash and was fleeing. He was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with serious injuries including a broken arm and abrasions, the report said. Montes was uninjured.

Authorities closed the ramp from eastbound Interstate 80 to southbound Highway 75 for more than an hour.
