Two women were injured early Tuesday in Omaha in a single-car rollover traffic accident.

The accident occurred about 2:30 a.m. at the North Freeway exit ramp to 30th Street.

Police said their investigation found that a 2001 Chevy Blazer was southbound on the North Freeway when it attempted to exit at 30th Street.

The Blazer failed to follow the curve in the roadway and entered the grassy median, police said, where the Chevy rolled at least once and the unrestrained driver was ejected.

The crash left the driver, Kristy Page, 35, of Aurora, Nebraska, in critical condition with a broken leg, police said, and a passenger, Shelia Archie, 37, of Omaha, in serious condition with facial injuries.

Police said charges in the accident were pending.

Page and Archie were taken to Creighton University Medical Center.

* Earlier reports from police had Page's first name misspelled.
