WAYNE, Neb. (AP) — Two men have been given 30 to 60 months in prison for stealing an ATM from a northeast Nebraska bank.
Cody Murphree, 22, and Jacob Christiansen, 23, both of Norfolk, were sentenced Wednesday morning in Wayne County District Court. They had pleaded guilty to theft after taking plea deals with prosecutors. The two also must make restitution of $13,900 to Elkhorn Valley Bank & Trust in Hoskins.
A third man convicted of the same charges, David Rhodes, 24, of Madison, Alabama, is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 2.
The Nebraska State Patrol says the ATM was taken on June 23 from the vestibule of the bank.
