15-year-old Gering student achieves perfect ACT score on first attempt

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — On his first attempt, a Gering student landed a top score on the ACT test.

Collin Potts, 15, earned a composite score of 36 on an ACT test taken in June after his sophomore year at Gering High.

Among test takers in the high school graduating class of 2013, only 1,162 of 1.8 million students earned a composite score of 36.
