Employees at a north Omaha paper company were evacuated late Sunday when a fire broke out shortly before midnight.

Everyone got out safely, according to initial 911 dispatch reports.

An automatic fire alarm at International Paper, 7202 N. 16th St., alerted firefighters at 11:47 p.m. The fire appeared to have started in a piece of equipment there, according to the dispatch reports. Temperatures were in the mid-teens when the fire crews were called out.
