A 26-year-old Omaha man was shot early Sunday, the second time in just over two months.

Antonio Martin was taken to Creighton University Medical Center after flagging down police officers about 2 a.m. near 30th Street and Ames Avenue.

Officer Michael Pecha, a police spokesman, said Martin told investigators that he was driving when another vehicle pulled alongside him and its occupants began shooting.

Martin's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Pecha said.

Martin also was shot about 5:30 p.m. Nov. 20. On that occasion, Martin told police that the shooting occurred in the area of 29th Street and Martin Avenue.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP (7867) or at omahacrimestoppers.net, or through the “Tip Submit” mobile iPhone/Android app. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
