An accused serial rapist is now charged with seven sexual assaults.

A seventh woman, 17, came forward this week and told police that a man sexually assaulted and choked her more than a year ago near 24th and Maple Streets. She told police she was attacked in the early-morning hours of July 28, 2012.

She identified Christopher A. Ennis, 27, in a lineup as her attacker, police reports state.

Police say Ennis preyed on women who were walking alone late at night or early in the morning near 27th Street, between Binney and Wirt Streets, or on Maple Street between 20th and 24th Streets. He is accused of choking, dragging and raping the women.

Authorities have said DNA evidence links Ennis to at least four of the women.

Ennis was arrested after a woman gave police a description of his vehicle. She told police she was raped Sept. 9 near 20th and Maple Streets.

Police ask anyone who was victimized in a similar way to call the Special Victims Unit at 402-444-5636.
