A 61-year-old Lincoln man died after the motorcycle he was riding struck a curb and he was thrown off, police said Tuesday.

Lincoln police officers provided medical assistance until Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews responded and took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Officer Erin Spilker said.

Wednesday morning, Lincoln police identified the man as Kevin Ginger of Lincoln. They said he was wearing a helmet.

The man was riding his 2009 Harley-Davidson south on First Street on Monday night when he hit a curb as he approached the roundabout near Adams Street, Spilker said.
