Omaha police say they are searching for the driver of a small SUV who crashed the vehicle and left it in the yard of a southwest Omaha home early Tuesday.

The SUV ended up in the yard of the home near South 156th and Valley Streets sometime before 4 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Douglas County emergency 911 dispatchers said the driver may have lost control of the vehicle after avoiding or striking a deer before veering through some neighborhood yards.
