Travel Snaps: The OWH drops by New York, England

A tale of three Carols: Carol Padon, Carol Berger and Carol Miller traveled on foot for 12 days, crossing England coast-to-coast, from the Irish Sea to the North Sea. The Omaha residents walked 137 miles, exploring the majestic charm of northern England.

Their photo received more than 39 percent of the online vote for the week of June 28 to July 4.

Art Eichler of Omaha went to Hughsonville, N.Y., for his father's 93rd birthday May 18, which was also the 100th anniversary of the Hughsonville Fire Department. Art Eichler Sr. was the parade grand marshal, as he was the oldest living member of the department and chairman of the board of Fire Commissioners for 25 years.

In this picture are four generations of the family; Art Eichler, his dad Art Sr., grand nephew Dylan Wallace and nephew Ryan Wallace.
