A well-known economist will return to Omaha Wednesday to discuss current problems facing Congress.

James K. Galbraith, who visited in 2009, will speak at the Holland Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. The free talk is part of the Holland Lecture Series, hosted by the First Unitarian Church of Omaha.

Galbraith will be filling in for Eric Liu, who was supposed to be Wednesday’s speaker but canceled because to illness.

Galbraith is an author and a government and business relations professor at the University of Texas. In his most recent book, "Inequality and Instability," Galbraith writes about how the financial sector fuels inequality and economic instability in America.

Those planning to attend are asked to order tickets in advance. They are available online at ticketomaha.com, in person at the Holland Center, 1200 Douglas St., or by calling the box office at 402-345-0606.
