Phillips, Wanda May (Stout) Jul 30, 1930 - Mar 8, 2015 Austin, TX. Wanda left us peacefully on a sunny Texas Sunday morning, at home following two difficult weeks battling respiratory infection and other complications. Wanda was born in Winterset, IA in the summer of 1930 to Ola and Glen Stout, and was the oldest of three children. She graduated with a teaching degree from Simpson College beginning her life-long commitment to the education and nurturing of children, which culminated with her operating Nanda's Daycare in Omaha from 1968 until she and husband Byron retired to rural Iowa in 1996. Wanda and Byron F. Phillips were married on June 5, 1955 and raised 4 children. Wanda and By lived for over 30 years in Omaha, NE. Following Byron's death in 2000, Wanda moved to the Austin, TX area. Wanda is survived by her sister Sheila McGuire of Philadelphia, PA, by her brother Glen Stout Jr, of Mabank, TX; by 4 children: Nathan Phillips, Noel Phillips, Rebecca Andersen, and Barbara Wykes; as well as grandchildren Matthew, Allison, and Alexandra;, and great-grandchildren: Evianna, Lennyx, and Andrew. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held at St Richards Episcopal Church in RoundRock, TX on March 21st at 2pm. INTERMENT ceremonies and a MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Rockbrook United Methodist Church in Omaha, NE at 10am on Saturday, August 8th.
