Another day, another sign of the chaos that now reigns in Egypt. Courts there recently began the process to release former strongman Hosni Mubarak, citing a constitutional requirement that he not be held for longer than two years without a verdict. Seems ironic to pay attention to that document on behalf of a former leader who never cared for such bedrock protections of individual rights. Also seems odd, given the moves by the military to oust both Mubarak and his elected successor.
