NU President Hank Bounds told the Board of Regents on Tuesday that the financial picture has changed a bit and UNL won’t have to worry — for now, at least — about some $4.3 million in cuts. Those cuts were to be mulled Wednesday by administrators and the UNL Academic Planning Committee. UNL already announced about $3.8 million in cuts last month but was set to recommend more.

A freeze that has kept University of Nebraska tuition the same for two years is unlikely to be possible again next year, according to the NU budget director.
