Lincoln Christian athlete Jared Bubak, who formally decommitted from Nebraska last month, officially committed to a school he'd long been interested in, Arizona State.

According to Rivals and the 247 Composite ratings, Jared Bubak and Noah Fant are currently the No. 1 and No. 2 prospects in the state. With rare exception, Nebraska should never want to lose both of the top two in-state prospects to other schools. Especially a new coaching staff.

Lincoln Christian standout Jared Bubak, who made a nonbinding commitment to NU’s previous coaching staff nine months ago, told The World-Herald Saturday afternoon that he’s elected to re-open his recruitment — and thus the 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end prospect is no longer considered to be part of the Huskers’ 2016 class. He informed the Husker coaching staff Wednesday.

I'd call Nebraska smart for offering the 6-foot-4, 231-pound Stille a scholarship on Thursday. The Huskers haven't made rounds in-state yet — that'll happen closer to camp time — but Riley personally talked to Stille, a tight end and defensive end, to extend the offer.
