Meet the 2020 World-Herald Scholars: Star students are ready to zoom

These top students are members of The World-Herald’s 2020 All State Academic Team. They’re completing their outstanding high school careers with a senior year like no other, filled with home-bound learning and Zoom sessions and without seeing their friends in the school hallways.

This year’s World-Herald All State Academic Team’s achievements are more than just impressive test scores and high class rank. Their passion for learning is matched by their involvement in a variety of activities.
A variety of colleges will enroll the students named to the first teams in the eastern, west-central and metro regions in Nebraska and to the western Iowa team.

With 1,196 students nominated from Nebraska and western Iowa for the annual tribute to outstanding high school students, choosing the regional and All State teams would be difficult.
The World-Herald annually recognizes outstanding student journalists with its Key Staffer award. The prize salutes journalistic achievement by a high school senior on any high school publication.
