Iowa State snaps Creighton women's five-match unbeaten streak

AMES, Iowa — Iowa State snapped the Creighton women's five-match unbeaten streak with a 1-0 win Thursday night.

Iowa State scored on its only shot on goal on the night as Clara Thimstrand scored in the 35th minute.

Creighton outshot the Cyclones 7-5. Aida Kardovic and Michaela Weist each attempted two shots for the Bluejays.

Creighton opens Big East play on Sept. 23 when it hosts Georgetown.
