The University of Nebraska is opening up Memorial Stadium for self-guided tours of the new East Stadium expansion, a $63.5 million project recently complemented by the addition of a new Bob Devaney statue at the east entryway plaza.

You can learn more about the expansion here.

The public walking tour, to be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m., will include access to seating areas in the 600 level (general public seating) and 400 level (club seating), as well as the Nebraska Athletic Performance Lab. Suite and field levels will not be available.

Fans are asked to enter through Gate 18 and to take the north escalator to the top to begin the walking tour. Elevator access will be available.

Staff writer Sam McKewon has already taken a good look at the expansion, offering his thoughts on the 6,000-seat addition. You can also check out our photo showcase highlighting the new addition.
