Bruins stretch win streak to eight with five-set rally

SALINA, Kan. — The Bellevue University volleyball team won a pair of matches Saturday at the Kansas Wesleyan triangular, sweeping McPherson College 25-20, 25-16, 25-19 and rallying past host Wesleyan 18-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-10.

Symone Faulkner had 10 kills against McPherson to lead the Bruins (8-11), who have won eight straight matches. Lajaida Even added nine kills and Beth Walker had 29 assists.

Symone Faulkner totaled 18 kills and Even 11 in the comeback against Wesleyan. Walker added six kills, 14 digs and 49 assists.

Bellevue returns to action next weekend at the Clarke University Tournament in Dubuque, Iowa.
