Player to watch: Junior DL Collin Bevins is now second in Northwest history with 21.5 tackles for loss this season. Last week against Emporia State, the defense recorded a season-best eight sacks. Bevins ranks fourth in career sacks with 22.0 and is fifth all time in career tackles for loss with 38.0.
Outlook: West Georgia enters Saturday’s game as the nation’s No. 2 ranked scoring defense (14.6 ppg) and No. 2 in total defense (238.1 ypg). The only team ranked ahead of the Wolves is Northwest Missouri, ranking first in scoring, rushing and total defense. West Georgia averages 229 rushing yards per game, ranking 22nd nationally. The Wolves are ranked 105th in the NCAA in passing at 195.4 yards per game.
