Arsenal vs. Chelsea, 9 a.m., FS1: FA Cup champion Arsenal is seeking its second straight FA Community Shield, while Premier League champion Chelsea last won the Shield in 2009. The match at London’s Wembley Stadium provides a final tuneup before the new Premier League season begins in a week.


Kansas City at Toronto, 12:07 p.m., FSN: Edinson Volquez (10-5, 3.21 ERA) takes the mound as the Royals try to salvage a split in their four-game series with the Blue Jays. Volquez and R.A. Dickey (5-10, 4.27) are each coming off two straight wins. Volquez had a no-decision against Toronto last month in Kansas City.

Washington at N.Y. Mets, 7:08 p.m., ESPN: Jordan Zimmermann (8-6, 3.36) hasn’t won for the Nationals since July 11. Noah Syndergaard (5-5, 2.70), who tossed eight innings of three-hit ball in his last start, wound up with a career-high five walks in a no-decision against Washington on July 22.


Windows 10 400, 12:30 p.m., NBCSN: Kyle Busch, winner of three straight and four of the last five Cup races, is on the pole at Pocono Raceway. Busch has lately kept Joe Gibbs Racing on a roll, and teammates Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin all start in the top 10. Martin Truex Jr., who won at Pocono in June, starts 13th.
