Milan, while Real took a 2-0 victory over Tottenham. The sides haven’t met since April 2014, when Real won both legs of a Champions League semifinal.

Boston at N.Y. Yankees, 6:05 p.m., ESPN: A night after the Red Sox had a rookie make his debut, the Yankees do the same with Luis Severino making his first start. Steven Wright (4-4, 4.53 ERA) has bounced around this season, but he took the win after pitching the final five frames of Boston’s 19-inning victory over New York in early April.
Kansas City at Detroit, 6:08 p.m., FSN: Johnny Cueto (7-6, 2.70) makes his second start for the Royals and is looking for his first victory with Kansas City. The Tigers counter with Buck Farmer (0-2, 8.50), who has just three starts this year in the big leagues. Assuming no tweaks to either rotation, these two will face off again next week in K.C.
