Democratic congressional candidate Kara Eastman has picked up an endorsement from Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 538.
“Working families can ill afford a rerun (of) the election of 2016,” said the local’s business manager, Gregg D. Rhoades. “Nebraskans need a fresh voice speaking on their behalf and we feel Kara Eastman represents that voice.”
Eastman, a nonprofit executive, is seeking the Democratic nomination to Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes Douglas County and part of Sarpy County. Also vying for the nomination is former congressman Brad Ashford. The winner will face U.S. Rep. Don Bacon, a Republican, in the November election.
