Dr. Michelle Marie Meyer, daughter of Roxann and Dean Meyer of Omaha, and Michael Kurt Strawhecker, son of Kathy and Kurt Strawhecker of Omaha, were married on March 16, 2019. The private ceremony was held at Omaha Country Club.

The bride is a doctor of optometry and is the owner/operator of Family EyeCare in Omaha. The groom is a partner at The Strawhecker Group, an analytics and consulting firm focused on the payment industry. They both attended Skutt Catholic High School and graduated as classmates and friends in 2000. Their friendship rekindled and romance followed in 2018. They are honeymooning in Sorrento, Italy and Santorini, Greece and will reside in La Vista with their cat Meatball.
