Monolith’s Olive Creek 1 in Hallam uses methane pyrolysis to produce clean hydrogen and carbon black.
Monolith, a Nebraska-based advanced manufacturing company, is expanding its corporate headquarters in Lincoln. Through groundbreaking technology, Monolith produces clean hydrogen and carbon black, a versatile material used to produce tires, rubbers and plastics. Plans for future products include clean ammonia so the region’s farmers can fertilize crops with cost-competitive, locally produced, cleanly made products.
Monolith’s new office will be located on P Street in Lincoln’s historic Haymarket district.
The new office, located at 600 P Street in downtown Lincoln’s historic Haymarket district, builds on the company’s expansive Nebraska growth. Counting the company’s headquarters, Monolith now has five locations in Lancaster County, Nebraska, including the first built in the U.S. commercial methane pyrolysis facility, Olive Creek 1. Other locations include a community-focused office on Main Street in Hallam, the Monolith Technical Center, a state-of-the art rubber laboratory on West L Street and a recently opened 25,000-square-foot warehouse in south Lincoln.
Nebraska native Amy Ostermeyer, Monolith’s chief development officer, credits Monolith’s growth to Nebraska-led innovation.
“The expansion of our corporate headquarters in Lincoln is another major milestone in Monolith’s growth. We are committed to creating high-paying, advanced manufacturing jobs in Nebraska,” said Amy Ostermeyer, Monolith’s chief development officer. “As our company continues to increase the sale of our products to the tire, plastics and industrial products industries, we are proving that the market for environmentally friendly products is strong, and next-generation careers can be built right here at home.”
In 2023, the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, North America’s largest tire manufacturer, began producing tires with Monolith’s made-in-Nebraska carbon black. Since the announcement of this partnership, Monolith has continued to grow the company’s footprint and is now shipping environmentally friendly products to produce tires and consumer and industrial products across North America.
The increase in sales has led to more area jobs. The company filled more than 60 Nebraska positions since the beginning of 2023 and grew its workforce by 11%. With another major expansion on the horizon, Olive Creek 2, the ability to produce additional high-demand, cost-competitive products will lead to additional opportunity and hundreds of new jobs in the area.

“Monolith is excited to continue to play a role in Nebraska’s success story,” Ostermeyer said. “We appreciate the support we have received from our community and state and local leaders. We are proud to call Nebraska home.”
