Access to orthopedic care in West Omaha is expanding in a major way. Beginning in early 2026, OrthoNebraska will open a surgical facility at its Elkhorn location and a brand-new clinic on West Maple, designed to meet growing demand and give patients faster, easier access to the specialized care they need.
For families in Elkhorn and the surrounding communities, the expansion means more care without leaving the neighborhood. The Elkhorn location will add four operating rooms and four treatment rooms, allowing more outpatient procedures like carpal tunnel surgeries and common injections to be done quickly and conveniently. While equipped similarly to the operating rooms, these treatment rooms are designed for convenience and a quicker recovery, with most patients being able to get in and out in about an hour.

“Expanding in Elkhorn and opening our new West Maple clinic reflects a promise we’ve made to this community,” said Dr. Matthew Dilisio, orthopedic surgeon at OrthoNebraska. “As West Omaha continues to grow, families deserve timely access to the highest-quality orthopedic care without having to travel far. These projects allow us to meet patients where they are and ensure they get the right care, at the right time, as conveniently as possible.”
OrthoNebraska’s new West Maple clinic, also set to open in early 2026, will help meet the rapidly growing need for nonsurgical orthopedic care and physical therapy in West Omaha. The site is a full-service destination for orthopedic care, including 20 exam rooms, 5,000 square feet of dedicated physical therapy and sports performance space and imaging capabilities. Additionally, patients will benefit from the ability to walk in and see a specialist in the orthopedic urgent care.
In addition to geographic access, OrthoNebraska has several physicians already committed to joining the team in 2026 — making this expansion even more necessary.
These expansions come at a time when West Omaha’s population continues to grow, youth sports participation is increasing and more adults are choosing outpatient orthopedic care over traditional hospital settings. By building these facilities now, OrthoNebraska is helping ensure that patients’ access to care keeps pace with community growth.
For OrthoNebraska’s patients, the impact will be felt immediately. Patients can expect shorter wait times, more appointment availability and comprehensive care, from diagnostics to surgery to physical therapy, offered all in one place.
