On Oct. 8, the Greater Omaha Chamber’s POWER Conference will bring professionals from across the region to CHI Health Center Omaha for a full day of learning, connection and practical workforce strategy. This year’s theme, “All In. POWERing Change. Driving Impact,” is more than a call to attend. It’s an invitation to shape what comes next.
POWER stands for People, Opportunity, Workforce, Excellence and Retention. Those five ideas will come to life through 15 interactive breakout sessions, two national keynote speakers, workforce experts and conversations designed for professionals at every career stage. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to support personal and professional growth, build stronger teams and attract, engage and retain talent.
Andrea Hollingsworth, Ph.D., a global compassion expert and award-winning author, will show how compassionate leadership can become a practical business strategy. Leadership strategist Damus Smith, creator of the LPI Method, will challenge attendees to build trust, inspire commitment and create workplaces where people choose to stay and grow. Together, their perspectives reinforce a simple truth: Workforce results improve when people experience opportunity, belonging and leadership that invests in them.
The conference will also mark the public launch of All In Omaha, a regional employer commitment centered on three priorities: jobs, careers and development, and promoting Omaha. Participating organizations will choose a track based on their size and acknowledge tangible actions, from offering competitive wages and clearer career pathways to strengthening local talent pipelines and telling Omaha’s story with confidence.
All In Omaha recognizes that no single program or institution can solve the region’s workforce challenges alone. Large employers, small businesses, educators, civic leaders and community partners each hold a piece of the solution.
