The Nebraska Chapter of Honor and Remember, with the help of area JROTC cadets and volunteers, planted 200 trees at Prairie Queen Recreation Area on Oct. 17 as part of the nonprofit’s Nebraska Memorial Forest.
Volunteers and members of Papillion La Vista South High School’s JROTC helped plant the trees after a tutorial by Alan Weiss, President of the American Reforestation Initiative on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023 at Prairie Queen Recreation Area in Papillion.
