Tour the new David “DJ” Sokol Learning For Life Building at Mount Michael Benedictine School near Elkhorn with Head of School Dr. David J. Peters, Ed.D., and the enthusiasm is palpable.
The David “DJ” Sokol Learning For Life Building at Mount Michael Benedictine School in Elkhorn will be dedicated Monday. A morning Mass, ribbon-cutting and tours are planned. Students will begin using the building Monday afternoon.

9 a.m. Mass in the school gym, led by Omaha Archbishop George Lucas
10:15 a.m. Ribbon cutting. Omaha philanthropists David and Peggy Sokol, parents of building namesake and late Mount Michael alum David “DJ” Sokol, ’99, cut the ribbon to officially open the building. Tours and refreshments to follow. The public is invited.
